Elevating Health and Wellness: Nico Del Greco’s Journey with Heavenly Hills Health
The Birth of Heavenly Hills Health
Nico’s entrepreneurial journey began with a personal health challenge. Struggling to find a clean, effective hydration supplement, he set out to create one himself. After a year and a half of rigorous product testing and fine-tuning, Nico launched Heavenly Hills Health’s flagship product—a zero-sugar hydration mix packed with essential electrolytes.
“Electrolytes are so important for muscle contraction, relaxation, and overall health,” Nico explained. “Unfortunately, the typical American diet doesn’t provide all the electrolytes we need, which makes supplementation critical.”
Building a 100% West Virginia Product
For Nico, creating a 100% West Virginia product has always been a priority. What started as a three-year goal has quickly accelerated to become a reality within just one year, thanks to hitting sales targets and transitioning to in-house manufacturing.
The decision to manufacture locally was also driven by challenges with outsourcing. “We were losing money on damaged or incorrectly packaged products,” Nico shared. “It became clear we needed to take control of the process to ensure quality and reduce losses.”
By moving production to the West Virginia Innovation Corporation, Heavenly Hills Health is poised for significant growth, with plans to introduce new products such as pre-workout supplements and creatine monohydrate in January.
The Challenges of the Supplement Industry
Breaking into the supplement market hasn’t been easy. Nico highlighted the trust factor as a unique challenge. “People are very particular about what they put into their bodies, and they should be,” he said. “Building that trust is essential, especially with a health-conscious target audience.”
“Once people try it, they love it,” he said. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the taste and the zero-sugar formula.”
Leadership and Perseverance
As a young entrepreneur, Nico has embraced the ups and downs of business ownership. He attributes his success to perseverance and the ability to learn from failure.
“The path of entrepreneurship is not a straight one,” Nico reflected. “You’re going to hit walls, but you have to knock on them, make a plan, and attack it. That’s how you move forward.”
This mindset has helped Nico navigate challenges and grow his business without the need for extensive marketing budgets. Most of Heavenly Hills Health’s growth has come from referrals, word-of-mouth, and grassroots networking.
Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Nico’s advice for anyone considering starting a business is simple: “Go get it. At some point, you have to stop planning and start doing.”
This approach served him well as he transitioned from concept to launch, putting his hydration mix into the hands of customers and refining the product based on real-world feedback.
The Future of Heavenly Hills Health
As Nico looks ahead, he’s excited about the next chapter for Heavenly Hills Health. With plans to hire employees and expand production, the company is on the brink of scaling its operations.
“If you’re already drinking Gatorade, Liquid IV, or other popular sports drinks, I’d encourage you to check out our website and see how we compare,” Nico said.
Heavenly Hills Health is more than a business—it’s a testament to the power of perseverance, innovation, and a deep love for West Virginia. Nico’s journey is an inspiring reminder that big dreams can be achieved with determination and a commitment to quality.
