Mountain Man Axe Throwing is excited to be opening two new locations, one in Bridgeport, WV, and another in the St. Clairsville, OH area. They have also created some new and exciting features at their existing building, located in Star City, WV.

Mountain Man Axe Throwing provides a location filled with entertainment for many different parties.

“We provide everyone with instructions so you can throw safely and well. We also now provide leagues,

Mountain Man Axe Throwing and we have two new things here, one is a smash room, and the other is a black light paint room,” said Chris.

Mountain Man Axe Throwing is Morgantown’s first and only axe throwing venue and tavern. Chris describes his business as “A bowling alley, but with axes… and of course, a lot more instruction.”

On the Positively West Virginia Podcast, hosted by Jim Matuga, Chris said, “The smash rooms have been a hit since we moved locations in April. For a smash room, we put you in full-body gear, give you a choice of different items to smash, and give you different weapons you would like to use. It is

a blast. Who would not want to take a baseball bat to a computer?”

“In our smash rooms, we added black lights to do paint throwing. We put a canvas on the wall, and we give you six colors of blacklight paint. We let you do what you want with it. You can paint the canvas, throw paint around the room or you can throw it at each other, where you can end up like Picasso yourself,” said Chris.

Chris first discovered axe throwing in the summer of 2018, and by August of that same year, he owned his axe throwing range. Chris is an experienced entrepreneur who also owns and operates a family-owned graphic design and signs business in Morgantown called City Neon.
